Ode to Spring
I can hardly wait for Spring. The daffodils have already busted out in full bloom and the pink cherry trees are so colorful – but I know there’s still a couple to several weeks before we see further promise of Spring being here to stay. At least the new season is within our sight now, and that’s all that matters.
If I had to pick my favorite thing about warm weather, it would be flip-flops. I can never have enough pairs, and the possibilities are endless. For me it’s not about style (though I’ll never turn down a pair of cute ones), it’s about comfort. From November through March my feet literally feel caged. If it were possible to wear flip-flops 365 days a year, I absolutely would.
My second favorite thing is daylight savings time – just three more weekends and we’ll get our longer days back! Yesterday I saw the most beautiful sunrise. As I crossed the bridge, it lit the lake up a beautiful pink, like the cherry trees. Day by day, minute by minute, we’re stretching our daylight back out… for this and for the beauty of Spring, I’m thankful.
Today will be spring like, for sure .. after that, we’ll see. The birds are singing at their finest this morning .. THEY think it’s spring!

It’s a nice apprehension, for sure. Right now it’s all I can think about! 🙂

I agree with you. I can’t wait that spring will arrive. There are some trees and beautiful flowers in my garden.

It’s the most beautiful time of year to me, and to many of us. 🙂

I’m with you on the flip flops!

I’d take one of every style/color. 🙂

Can’t wait for it to warm up. I hate having to wear a coat every day!!

Warm weather is definitely so much easier, isn’t it? Easier on the laundry, too. 🙂

Sandals and being bare-foot is also one of my favourite parts about warm weather. Have you ever heard of Earthing or grounding? I’ve found it’s done wonders.

I admit I did not, Miro… but now that I’ve looked it up I am absolutely taken by it. Makes so much sense as to why beach vacations always mean so much. I plan to read lots more on this, thank you!! 🙂

I like daffodils but they’re dead in a week. Is that your experience?

Umm, then maybe they’re buttercups (*she admits in a very blushed state*) because they’re going on 2.5 weeks now. Yeah, they’ve gotta be buttercups. 🙂

Now I understand why you were so amazed with those burloloys (the Filipino term for stuff like the ones anklets and all those seen on the Tribe Art’s shop) in one of my recent posts. Those are real summer hot stuff in my country during summer. Let us see your flip-flops one of these days, okay? 🙂
Happy living for spring! Regards to your family.

That’s exactly right. I love adorning colorful necklaces, bracelets and anklets in the summer. I’d like to come buy one of everything in that shop! And I’ll be sure to get some shots of my slew of flip flops once I get them all unpacked. I bought two new pair last weekend! 🙂
With warm weather comes warm spirits. Happy days to you and your family as well, Sony!

Here in Pennsylvania, we’ve had a very mild winter. My Easter bulbs are already popping up in the garden. But, nature is confused because yesterday it snowed. The sprouts of the Easter flowers are frozen. Dreaming of Spring……

It’s been a crazy winter, hasn’t it? My fingers are crossed that Spring is just around the bend for us all. 🙂
