To each his own. To me my own.

Working power, not necessarily in that order.

Though not from lack of trying, I’m unable to throw this virus or whatever it is. This is one time I didn’t go running to the doctor after a day or two of an obviously kickass whatever-it-is set in. It’s now officially a day over two weeks and I’m still left with a chest full of something –  the difference is that everything has tightened up now. No good. I decided yesterday to made a doc appointment for this afternoon, so I’ll see what’s going on then. At this point anything will be an improvement!

I am Bon… I am Frontierwoman, hear me roar. I’ve had no power since about 1am this morning. The piedmont had winds up to 90mph wisk through the area last night, and currently over 250M people and 30 schools are without power. Stop lights are out everywhere, power lines are down and traffic is mayhem. Trying to get ready for work by candlelight this morning was hilarious — honestly I think I’d have done better in the dark.

Seriously, it’s the little things. Like power. And working in peace. Well, maybe those aren’t such little things…

  1. I hope the doc gives you something to make you feel better, and I hope your power comes back on by the time you get home!

Thanks a bunch, Ang. Just called my home phone to see if the machine picks up and found out my phone’s out too – this just keeps getting better and better!! 🙂

As I drove by this morning, judging from the stoplights everything seems to be back on! I had to abandon ship around 7pm last night and go to K’s. Thanks for checking on me!!

  2. What a wind storm! How awful. I hope your electricity is back on very soon. I hate it when that happens. I’m a sissy, not a pioneer. Hang in there, Bonnie. I hope you get rid of your virus soon, too. Blessings…

Thanks Carol Ann – it seems to be back on this morning! I gave up and went to K’s last night. I’m a sissy too, I admit it – and boredom leads to frustration with me. Got some antibods at the doc yesterday, but unfortunately my drugstore that it was faxed in to was without power! I’ll go fetch ’em today, though. 🙂

  3. Being deathly ill while having no power, sounds almost apocalyptic.

Deathly… nah. Although that would make for a great storyline! 🙂

  4. Whatever sickness is going around, it’s bad. A friend of mine has been sick for 3 weeks, and he’s refused to go to the doctor. It’s a man thing…not going to the doctor. Hope you’re feeling much better!

Thanks Tracy! I did get my meds filled yesterday and hope to be on the mend. That’s so true about men and doctors – I’ve given up on trying to make sense of it. I hope your friend gets better soon as well!! 🙂
