Miles away from Ordinary
Sitting in front of the Atlantic ocean writing a blog has just now become one of my favorite things to do. My love is beside me, as well as a cooler full of cold beers… and waves are crashing so rhythmically that it’s a sound finer than that of any music I’ve ever heard.
I stole the idea from Perpetually Peeved to keep track of blog ideas via the ‘notes’ app on my iPhone. Works pretty well… although mine are far less interesting than hers. Here’s what I have so far, in raw form:
• People wading around in the cold ocean, and swimming in the unheated pool.
• Old couple walking the dog with the ball in his mouth the whole time.
• Beautiful bright spinning star that changes colors (Sirius).
• ‘Beetlejuice’ star that is constantly red, part of the constellation ‘Orion’ the Hunter.
• Waiting for a prettier shell to come along.
There’s more that packed this already jumbled head but I’m still trying to get the hang of jotting things down before I forget! It’s not fun maneuvering a blog around via a phone, so I’ll end this with an attempt to load a picture.
Blessings to all for a wonderful weekend!!
Thanks for the pic…I long to go to the beach, but this pic will have to do. I haven’t been to the beach in 11 years. 😦 Ed and I had planned to rent a house for a week and let all the kids stay with us, but…..His back was hurt and he wasn’t able to travel. I hope to be able to go next summer. Enjoy your stay. 🙂

Thanks, Helen! Back when I was married, we went a long stretch like that too. Everybody should get away at least once a year, it makes you appreciate home that much more when you return. And good for the soul! Hope you can get away for a week next summer – just think, it’s not that far away… I’m already counting the days. 🙂

Beautiful pic, Bonnie! The ocean is lovely to watch and hear. The cresting waves, the roaring they make as they crash, just what a great weekend is made of… And being with someone you love. Blessings…

Thanks, Carol Ann! So true – I can never get enough of it. Why, we were out there at 2pm yesterday sacked out with our chairs, knowing full well we needed to leave… just hated to leave that beautiful sight and song.
Gosh I’ve got some blog-reading to catch up on. I’ve missed reading everyone else’s so. Tonight I plan to do just that… Blessings to you!

Oh no. I read this post after the “Notes” one… it’s all my fault. I feel terrible.

You’re funny… not at all, Peeved. But absolutely hilarious that it happened in this order, isn’t it? 🙂 Keep a watch on that notes app. Deadly.
