To each his own. To me my own.

Surgery Day

That time has come. I have to be at the hospital at 0530 tomorrow for surgery at 0730. For the past week and a half the sheer apprehension of it has all but taken it’s toll. I’m anxious to have this behind me and get back to my life… a life where I can actually eat a full meal, the food tastes delicious and my stomach isn’t tied up in a knot.

Peace out and talk to ya soon.

    • I really appreciate that, Barbara. I know it’s only the apprehension of the before that’s got me. πŸ™‚

  3. Have a speedy recovery. I survived open heart in 2006. That first month felt like I would be an invalid forever. By end of second month I was hopping around like a grasshopper and felt 20 years younger.

    • Thanks a bunch, Carl. That’s great to hear about your open-heart surgery… mine doesn’t compare to the severity of open-heart! I’ll be fine in no time I’m sure. πŸ™‚

    • Thanks for thinking of me Nina – its been quite a rough several days. I’ve had to remind myself (and so has the Doc) everyone reacts to surgery and heals differently. Today has been the first day that I can actually report some progress, and I’m silently ecstatic about that. πŸ™‚

    • More than I bargained for Thoughtsy, but hanging in there. Today is the first day I’ve seen the little light at the end of the tunnel. That light sure looks good, too. πŸ™‚

  10. Can’t wait to see you back on your feet, Bon. Lean on that beauty of a pooch of yours. Puppy kisses are some of the best in the world.

    • Thanks so much Dave. Yeah he’s such a dear and he’s been SO worried – comes bounding down the hall every morning, almost frantic to see how I am. So glad he’s home with me. πŸ™‚
